Life insurance is a vital thing for every adult. There are far too many people who put off getting it because they think that it doesn't apply to them. What they don't understand is that it is for everybody even those in seemingly unconventional situations. Here are some people who still need life insurance.
1. Stay At Home Parents
You might think that because you aren't the primary breadwinner, you don't need life insurance. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Of course, it is vital that the person who is earning money for the family have life insurance, but even if you don't have a job, currently it doesn't mean that your family won't need financial help if you were to pass away.
Think of all the extra costs your spouse would have if you were to pass. They would need to pay for childcare, they would need to pay for a housekeeper, someone to prepare meals and so much more. Their cost of living would increase, and if you had no life insurance, they would have no way to cover that.
Additionally, having life insurance will allow your family to take time off work while they grieve. As well as help to pay for funeral expenses.
2. Someone Who Doesn't Have Children or Dependents
Just because you are married and without children doesn't mean that you don't need life insurance. What many people do not know is that your debt will not pass away with you. If you have any sort of debt, like medical debt from your end of life, or consumer debt it will pass onto your relatives. They will be responsible for covering those expenses. This is not to mention your funeral. Does your family have the thousands of dollars that it would cost to put on a funeral and pay for the burial? Don't leave your family in financial distress, maybe even financial ruin, because you thought life insurance wasn't for you.
3. People Who Have Good Savings
Having a good savings account doesn't mean that you don't need life insurance. It will be helpful when it comes to paying for your end of life expenses, but are you sure that all of it will go to your family? There may be taxes, extra expenses you didn't anticipate and so forth. Thus, even though you have a savings account, you should still carry life insurance because life insurance is tax-free, and you know exactly how much your beneficiaries will get.
As you can see, life insurance is for all adults.
